About the Internship
JOC provides relational stability for approximately 2000 people per year. Through the dedicated support of volunteers, interns, and staff, JOC builds friendships with this population that is often isolated, lonely, and overlooked. In this educational, volunteer internship, you will gain hands-on experience in serving immigrants, people experiencing material poverty, and women who have experienced sexual exploitation.

Spend your summer serving and learning alongside our staff and mission teams working on East Colfax in Denver! As a hands-on learning opportunity, interns will invest in relationship building, poverty alleviation, and holistic leadership development. Day to day responsibilities include helping with outreach ministry, hosting weekly mission teams and running the operations of our drop in and program spaces. Opportunities to focus on areas of interest include: social enterprise work, non-profit management/finance, and marketing/social media.
Summer interns are provided with housing via host families, and a stipend for living expenses. Most meals are provided at JoC.
Internships are available during:
Fall Semester (Sept-Dec)
Spring Semester (Jan-May)
