Thanksgiving and Every day

Right now, Jesus on Colfax is serving close to 1,000 hot meals every week, and many of our friends use their Family Room points to buy food to take with them. With the expected loss of SNAP (food stamps) in November due to the government shutdown, the need on the street is already growing. More people are coming in for a hot meal, more people are choosing food in the store, and more people are feeling the anxiety of not knowing what is going on. We are getting questions like, “Will I have to reapply for food stamps? When will food stamps come back?” By showing up and loving people day in and day out, our friends trust us to have answers and help lessen the burden.

Every year we run our Thanksgiving and Every Day campaign to meet the ongoing need for food, but this year it is more critical than ever. Here is what we are doing:

• Serving lunch in the Family Room Monday - Thursday

• Taking burritos and food boxes to the motels

• Keeping the store stocked with food

Here's how you can help:

• Donate non-perishable food to the Family Room or host a food drive

• Give a financial gift to our general fund to support meals in November and beyond

• Sign up to serve a Tuesday night meal in 2026
  (Gather a group, make dinner, and come serve on Colfax. It’s an incredible way to make an impact together.)

Jubilee is hosting a food drive on the next day of Jubilee. Come get a free cup of coffee and drop-off non-perishable food items.
